DESCRIPTION:This concert will feature one of the today’s most compelling and unusual ensembles\, The Afro-Semitic Experience\, dedicated to merging the Jewish and Afro-diasporic melodies and grooves\, combining the core concepts of àse and shalom – power\, action\, unity\, and peace.  The group will be joined by Cantor Natasha J. Hirschhorn and Shirei Chesed Community Chorus with the musical settings of psalms from both Jewish and ecumenical perspectives\, exploring a rich soundscape from classical to gospel to jazz and beyond.
