DESCRIPTION:Ansche Chesed invites you to serve with us on MLK Weekend to celebrate how powerful we can be together. We will be serving together as part of UJA-Federation’s Time for Good MLK Day of Service\, joining thousands of Jewish New Yorkers who will be volunteering side by side on projects region-wide that address vital community needs. \nEducational Alliance is doing a dynamic refurbishment of spaces at our Sirovich Center for Balanced Living\, an innovative senior center in the East Village\, during MLK weekend. Volunteers will transform Sirovich by brightening and refreshing some of the Center’s most heavily used spaces\, including dining\, art\, and multi-purpose rooms. The Ansche Chesed shift will include the following projects: \n* Complete all wall painting and murals\n* Hooks and shelves installed\n* Furniture completed and brought to rooms\n* Canvas murals completed and arranged for drying \nPlease join us for this day of hands-on volunteering that will create more welcoming places for our seniors to socialize with one another\, participate in program activities\, and access comprehensive supports. \nSign up to volunteer with other AC members here.
