DESCRIPTION:What if you couldn’t get to work\, pick up your prescriptions from the pharmacy\, or send your child to school this winter? All because you didn’t have a decent coat to wear. This is the reality for many New Yorkers right now. \nFor the last 31 years\, New York Cares has channeled the generosity of our city into our annual Coat Drive. Last year we distributed our two millionth coat\, and this year our goal is to collect 100\,000 new or gently used coats for social service agencies\, public schools\, transitional housing shelters\, and more. \nAnsche Chesed is proud to serve as a drop off location for New York Cares Coat Drive this winter. \nCoats can be dropped off at the Ansche Chesed lobby when the building is open. \nThe New York Cares Coat Drive only accepts new or gently used coats.

DESCRIPTION:We are organizing a group to volunteer at the Trinity Lutheran Church of Manhattan’s annual Thanksgiving Community Meal. Last year\, this event served over a 1000 of our neighbors! All ages are welcome to volunteer\, although children need to be supervised by an adult.\n\n\n\n\nWednesday\, Nov 27\, 6:30pm \nWe will help prepare the kitchen\, set the tables\, and make table decorations.\n\nThursday\, Nov 28\, 11:30am-1:00pm or 1:30-2:30pm\n\nWe’ll help with security\, kitchen\, meal delivery\, serving\, trash\, clean-up\, dessert table\, drinks\, hospitality.\n\n\nClick here to register.\n\nRegistration is organized by Trinity so please email us at accommunitysvce@gmail.com to let us know who from our AC community will be there.
