American-Israeli Hostage Family Visits on Shabbat
Please join us in the Multi-Purpose Room outside Hirsch Hall after services, approximately 12:30 pm, to meet Ruby and Hagit Chen, the parents of Itay Chen z'l, who was killed while serving in the IDF on October 7. Itay, a dual US-Israeli citizen, was initially believed to have been taken hostage. Subsequently, the army determined that he had been killed, and that Hamas was holding his remains.
