Thousand Turkey Challenge

We at Ansche Chesed are proud supporters of West Side Campaign Against Hunger (WSCAH), a supermarket-style food pantry that feeds thousands of New Yorkers every day. Please show your support for the Thousand Turkey Challenge, to make sure that all families can have a celebratory Thanksgiving. Tamar Manasseh: A Mom On A Mission

Tamar Manasseh is the founder of MASK (Mothers/Men Against Senseless Killings). The organization, established in Chicago in 2015, as a way to put eyes on the streets, interrupt violence & crime, and teach children to grow up as friends rather than enemies. A group of caring individuals in the community began to simply hang out on the block, cook food, and emanate love.

Annual Chanukah Sing-Along & Potluck Dinner

Bring your own menorah, a dairy or parve dish to share, and, if you'd like, a musical instrument to play. Join Hazzan Natasha Hirschhorn, Shirei Chesed, Ansche Chesed Community Chorus and Mike Cohen, Woodwinds, for a rousing Chanukah sing-along from around the world, delicious latkes from Chef's Table, and a potluck dinner.

Jews Night Out

Jews Night Out is Minyan Rimonim's annual Christmas Eve activity. The evening begins with dinner out at a local kosher restaurant, followed by a social activity such as bowling, gaming, karaoke, or  a movie. Everyone, including those who don't attend our minyan, is welcome.
