Iftar Dinner for Muslim Refugees

On June 7th, we will host an Iftar dinner at the shul with a number of Muslim refugees here in the US, in cooperation with a social activist group called Purpose. One of these refugees joined us at the synagogue seder on Passover, and helped us celebrate our holiday. At a time when too many Americans are working overtime to keep refugees out, and too many voice hateful anti-Islamic bigotry, it will be an honor to welcome these guests into our community, and to help…

The New Sanctuary Coalition of New York Training

The New Sanctuary Coalition of NYC is an interfaith network of congregations, organizations, and individuals, standing publicly in solidarity with families and communities resisting detention and deportation in order to stay together. In honor of the Congregation trip to Poland, our Friday night davening and oneg will come with a Polish flavor.
