MATANOT LE’EVYONIM
Drop off items in the AC Lobby until Sunday, March 1 at 10:30am
AC is working with the New Neighbors Partnership, a local NYC-based nonprofit welcoming refugee families with young children, to send out care packages. This winter, many refugee families will be celebrating Ramadan in a new country without the family and friends they left behind. With your help, we will be sending Ramadan care packages to families in need.
We are collecting the following items in the lobby up until the Purim Carnival on Sunday, March 1 at 10:30am, where we will pack and personalize the packages.
Food (must be unopened):
- Packages of dates (important for breaking the daily fast at Iftar)
- Packets of dry yeast
- Spices – cardamom, coriander, cumin, turmeric (small bottles or packets)
- Packages of other dried fruits (12oz package or smaller)
- Small packages of nuts (any kind)
- Small sweets/chocolate
Toiletries:
- Bar soaps
- Lotions (under 7oz)
- Chapstick
- Small hygiene products
