Repro Shabbat: Kiddush Conversation with Meredith Nicholson of the Red Tent Fund

Sat, February 14 at 12:45 pm

Join us for Repro Shabbat to learn about the Red Tent Fund, a national Jewish nonprofit that provides funding to abortion seekers across the country. As we honor the Jewish value of reproductive freedom, come discuss how the Red Tent Fund works, the particular resonance of reproductive rights in the wake of Oct. 7, the broader abortion landscape in a post-Dobbs world, and how you can get involved.

RSVPs encouraged, walk-ins welcome

Meredith-Nicholson

Meredith Nicholson is the Client Services Coordinator at the Red Tent Fund and responsible for the organization’s day-to-day operations. She brings over ten years of experience, including two stints at the National Abortion Federation Hotline Fund and several local funds. She also has deep roots in Jewish community as an organizer – most notably, as a member of Jews United for Justice’s core leadership team that brought paid family medical leave to Washington DC – and lay leader.

Repro Shabbat, organized by the National Council of Jewish Women, is an annual Shabbat celebration that honors the Jewish value of reproductive freedom. It takes place annually on Parshat Mishpatim, the reading of which contains the verses commonly referenced as the foundation of Judaism’s approach to reproductive health, rights, and justice.
