Freedom as Responsibility: A Discussion of Pirkei Avot 6:2

On Shavuot we celebrate the receiving of the Torah as the culmination of the Exodus from Egypt. Pirkei Avot 6:2 offers us an explanation of this connection by arguing that real freedom comes from a life of commitment to Torah.
