Inauguration Eve Maariv

At Bill Clinton’s inauguration 28 (!!) years ago, Maya Angelou read her poem “On the Pulse of Morning,” including these lines:

History, despite its wrenching pain,

Cannot be unlived, and if faced

With courage, need not be lived again.
