Event Navigation
They Ain’t Ready for Me explores the complex identity and motivations of Tamar Manasseh, the African-American rabbinical student who is combating gun violence on the South Side of Chicago with magnetic, self-assured energy through her organization MASK — Mothers and Men Against Senseless Killings. This moving and timely documentary shows how Tamar’s intersecting identities offer her a road map for addressing one of America’s most urgent crises.
Enjoy a virtual screening and then join us on Wednesday February 24th as we celebrate Black History month, for a conversation with filmmaker and Ansche Chesed member Brad Rothschild and Tamar Manasseh, to learn more about Tamar, her work MASK, and the experience that Brad and Tamar had making this important film.
