Millennials and the Jewish Home: An Ansche Chesed Shabbaton
Join us for Shabbat Dinner as we discuss Millienials and the Jewish Home as a part of our Shabbaton on the larger Millenial experience. After dinner, our conversation, which will include both Jewish professionals who work with this age cohort as well as including members of our community who belong to this age-group, as we discuss issues such as intermarriage and relationships, money, professional goals, you know... life.

Annual Sukkah Dinner & Sing Along
If you love music, but are not ready for a weekly commitment, bring more melodies and harmonies to your holiday celebration by joining Hazzan Hirschhorn and Shirei Chesed for Sing Along event during Sukkot. Partake in a festive meal on our rooftop Sukkah, bring your family, a friend or two, and a dairy or pareve dish to share. We will pick the most beautiful and fun Jewish folk songs from Israel and beyond to sing the night away!

Refugee Shabbat: Shabbat Dinner
We join synagogues across America to focus our attention on the current refugee crisis through the commemoration of Refugee Shabbat. Our plans for this Shabbat will be multi-generational, including programming for those of Hebrew School age, adults, and families. Our programming includes Iraqi Refugee Ahmed Badr at Shabbat dinner, reading groups, arts, community service projects, and multi-faith programming. Please plan to join us for these Shabbat activities to give appropriate focus to this important issue.

Tamar Manasseh is the founder of MASK (Mothers/Men Against Senseless Killings). The organization, established in Chicago in 2015, as a way to put eyes on the streets, interrupt violence & crime, and teach children to grow up as friends rather than enemies. A group of caring individuals in the community began to simply hang out on the block, cook food, and emanate love.
