Doing Good As A Family
It is never too early to introduce children to the importance of giving back to the community. Parents will have an opportunity to hear from Natalie Silverstein, New York Coordinator of Doing Good Together (a "national nonprofit that works to make volunteering and service, along with daily kindness, easy for every family"), and author of the forthcoming book, The Busy Family's Guide to Giving Back.

Red Cross Babysitting Course
American Red Cross babysitting and child care courses can help your tween or teenager provide quality care to children of all ages.
Developed by experts in the industry, our course is available to
children and teens ages 11-16,
and includes topics such as choosing age-appropriate activities, basic child care, bottle feeding, child behavior, leadership, professionalism, safety, starting a babysitting business, and more.
Tween Book Club: “The War Within”
Tweens in Grades 4 through 7 are invited to our “AC Tween Book Club” to discuss the book “The War Within: A Novel of the Civil War," by Carol Matas, facilitated by Sheila Lewis and Youth Director, Deena Cowans.

Ansche Chesed will join thousands of New Yorkers to participate in the annual MLK Day of Service. Get to know other AC members while working together to make a difference in the greater NYC community.
