Presented by Ansche Chesed, Yaldaynu and Camp Settoga Experience the fun of Camp Settoga in Central Park with Ansche Chesed and Yaldaynu for a day of fun, exploration in nature, and community building with friends. Join Ansche Chesed members to study "Biblical Stories of Tyranny and Resistance," where humble characters rebuke kings, and prophets speak truth to power.
Hazzan Hirschhorn will talk about the Daughters of Zelophad and the history of women becoming cantors; Kara Tav will teach about the "wise woman of Tekoa," who taught King David a thing or two; Sam Hollander will speak about Daniel, who navigated Nebuchadnezzar's court. And if time remains, Rabbi Kalmanofsky will talk about Michaya ben Imla and the prophecy of doom.
