Kabbalat Shabbat
Each Friday evening Ansche Chesed comes together to welcome Shabbat in the chapel on the ground floor. Services are often followed by an oneg Shabbat or a more formal dinner with a speaker. Please join Rabbi Kalmanofsky and Hazzan Hirschhorn for Havdalah, followed by a taste of the Song of Songs, through singing and text study. We traditionally read this passionate and multilayered text on the intermediate Shabbat of Passover following the Torah reading. This year - different from all others - we are still finding a way to drink deeply from the well of our tradition, and fill our hearts with joy and love emanating from these sacred verses.
